LONDON – England Coach Stuart Lancaster has selected recently injured centre Jonathan Joseph in the starting line-up to play Australia in their do-or-die fixture at Twickenham on Saturday.
Joseph will slot in the midfield alongside Barritt and Anthony Watson after overcoming a pectoral injury suffered against Fiji in their World Cup opener.
It was originally thought that Joseph would miss the rest of the pool stage, however he has proved his fitness to Lancaster to be rewarded inclusion in the crunch match. Owen Farrell also retains his spot in the side with George Ford on the bench.
Back rower Ben Morgan will also return to the side after Billy Vunipola was ruled out of the tournament with a knee injury while convert Sam Burgess will drop back to the bench and Courtney Lawes will miss out through injury.
