Gatland thinks outside the box

Wales

LONDON – Wales Coach Warren Gatland has thought outside the box for the selection of his team to take on the Wallabies at Twickenham on Saturday afternoon.

Surprisingly, Gatland has a fully fit team to choose from which is something he hasn’t had since the start of the tournament three weeks ago.

In a team that looks decidedly different to the one that took on Fiji in their last outing, New Zealand born Gareth Anscombe slots in at fullback with Liam Williams and Alex Cuthbert on the wings. In a surprise move, George North moves to centre, the position that he finished at in their win over England almost a fortnight ago.

Up front, Samson Lee and Paul James come into the side while lock Jake Ball comes onto the bench. Dan Lydiate misses out despite being fit as Gatland seemingly wants his staunch back rower fit for the quarter final which they have already qualified for.
