Pocock, Beale re-sign with ARU

Humility

SYDNEY – In a huge boost to the Wallabies before leaving Australia for the Rugby World Cup via the US, David Pocock and Kurtley Beale have re-signed with the ARU until 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Pocock has recommitted to the Brumbies while Beale will stay with the 2014 Champions and 2015 Semi finalists, the Waratahs.

David Pocock has been one of the most outstanding players for the Brumbies and the Wallabies since returning from two back-to-back career threatening knee injuries at the beginning of the year. He was also voted Australia’s Super Rugby Player of the Year at the John Eales Medal ceremony on Thursday night as well as clocked up his 50th cap for the Wallabies during the international season.

Kurtley Beale has enjoyed a better time in Australian rugby since moving back to the Waratahs from the Rebels following a number of indiscretions while playing for his franchise as well as the national team. 2015 saw him become the third-highest point scorer in NSW history with 409 points while reaching the career milestones of 100 matches for the Waratahs and 50 matches for the Wallabies.
